  • Email address — for account verification, order confirmations, and communications
  • Phone number — for order updates, delivery coordination, and customer support
  • Home/delivery address — to facilitate pickup and delivery of your laundry
  • Payment information — to process transactions (handled securely through third-party payment processors)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our App, we may automatically collect:

  • Device information — device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
  • Usage data — app features used, pages viewed, interaction patterns
  • Log data — IP address, access times, crash reports

2. Location Data Collection and Use

Important: Background Location Disclosure

Our App collects your location data, including background location (when the app is not in use or is running in the background).

We access your device's location, including background location, for the following purposes:

  • Pickup and delivery coordination — to accurately determine your pickup and delivery address and enable our drivers to navigate to your location
  • Real-time order tracking — to allow you to track the status and location of your laundry pickup and delivery in real time
  • Service area verification — to confirm that your location falls within our service coverage area
  • Estimated time of arrival — to provide accurate ETAs for pickups and deliveries based on your current location and the driver's location

Background location access is used specifically to continue tracking active pickups and deliveries even when the app is minimized or the screen is off, so you receive timely notifications about your order status.

You can disable background location access at any time through your device's settings. However, doing so may limit certain features such as real-time delivery tracking and arrival notifications.

2.1 Types of Location Data Collected

  • Precise location (GPS) — used to pinpoint your pickup/delivery address
  • Approximate location (network-based) — used for service area checks
  • Background location — collected when the app is running in the background during active orders to provide real-time tracking and delivery notifications

2.2 When Background Location Is Collected

Background location data is only collected:

  • When you have an active pickup or delivery order
  • When you have explicitly granted background location permission
  • To send you notifications when a driver is approaching your location

We do not collect background location data when you do not have an active order.

2.3 How to Control Location Permissions

You can manage your location permissions at any time:

  • Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Fabricare > Permissions > Location
  • iOS: Go to Settings > Fabricare > Location

You may choose "Allow only while using the app", "Ask every time", or "Don't allow". Disabling location access may affect pickup/delivery functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our laundry and delivery services
  • Process and complete your laundry orders and transactions
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries using your location
  • Send order confirmations, updates, and delivery notifications
  • Communicate with you about promotions, offers, and service updates (with your consent)
  • Improve our App, services, and customer experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share your information with:

  • Delivery drivers — your name, phone number, and address to complete pickups and deliveries
  • Payment processors — payment details to process your transactions securely
  • Analytics providers — anonymized usage data to improve our services
  • Legal authorities — when required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as:

  • Your account is active
  • It is needed to provide our services to you
  • It is required by applicable laws and regulations

Location data from completed orders is retained for up to 90 days for service quality and dispute resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Secure access controls and authentication
  • Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal obligations)
